Dear colleagues and friends
On behalf of The Food and Nutrition Society of Indonesia (PERGIZI PANGAN Indonesia) and the committee, I am pleased to welcome you to Bogor of West Java, Indonesia to the International Symposium on Food and Nutrition, Expo, and Awards (ISFANEA) 2023.
We believe that food and nutrition is central for sustainable development; and we also believe that there is no great food and nutrition improvement without great innovation and great leadership; and there is no great food and nutrition innovation without great researchers and great communication. Food and nutrition scientists should take into consideration the interactions between food, health, the environment and socioeconomic conditions. Both acute and chronic malnutrition reflect a failure in those interactions in the development process. It is proven that food and nutrition have high human and economic returns. We also believe that efforts to improve food and nutrition could contribute to progress in many areas of sustainable development.
Base on above consideration, we formulated the theme of the ISFANEA 2023 is “Food and Nutrition Innovation for Sustainable Economy, Health, and Well-Being”. The goal of the symposium is to promote food and nutrition innovation and to encourage scientific interchange among food, nutrition, and health researchers and professionals. The ISFANEA 2023 also be a place for young nutrition students and researchers to meet and discuss with great researchers, senior professors, and great leaders in the world of food and nutrition.
During the course of three-day (June 22-24, 2023), ISFANEA 2023 offers full scientific program featuring 7 plenary lectures, 42 parallel sessions, 6 poster sessions, and 26 booth exhibitions. The uniqueness of ISFANEA 2023 are as follow: 1) cultural performances at the opening ceremony, and before each plenary session, 2) light exercise after each plenary session, 3) lunch menus formulated by our nutritionists and chefs made from Indonesian foods enriched with Asian flavours, 4) the posters were presented digitally through big screens, 5) awards for innovated food products, food and nutrition programs, leadership, and 6) trips to nutrition programs at schools and communities as well as to Tempe’s house.
The Food and Nutrition Societies of Indonesia, the organizing committee and partners delighted to welcome you to the ISFANEA 2023 in Bogor, the city having Presidential Palace, the oldest and the largest botanical garden in Southeast Asia. Bogor is recognized as a popular tourist destination, due to its beauty and unique scenery as well as unique culinary and culture.
We hope the symposium will fortify the local and international network of food and nutrition researchers and professionals. Thank you for government of Indonesia, food and nutrition related industries, and partners. Thank you for all participants, and please enjoy the symposium and the beautiful of Bogor.

Food and Nutrition Expo provides opportunities, enthusiasm and motivation for business industries and program organizers in promoting various activities, food and beverage products, ingredients, equipment and technologies in the field of food and nutrition.

The expo will be open every day from 7.30 am to 17.30 pm during the ISFANEA, 22th – 24th June 2023.

Objectives
Food and Nutrition Awards (also known as PEDULI GIZI 2023) aims to appreciate and give awards to food industries, government, NGOs, and individuals who made real contributions in product innovations, programs, and leadership in the fields of food, nutrition, and public health.
Participants
Food industry, civil society organization, or any individuals are welcomed to participate in the award.
This award applied only for companies/institutions, and individuals having food products produced in Indonesia, or having CSR Programs being done in Indonesia.
The award will be held on the last day of ISFANEA 2023 (Saturday, 24th June 2023).
